Which Plan Should I Choose?
Find the optimal platform setup matches your organizational goals.
| Customer Requirement | Recommended Plan | Reason / System Behavior |
|---|---|---|
| I want customers or visitors to find and pay for charging. | Public Charging | Public-facing paid charging needs payment collection, session visibility and transaction handling. |
| I only want staff, tenants, residents or approved visitors to charge. | Private Site Charging | This is site-based access control and reporting, billed annually per plug. |
| I need to report charging by vehicle, driver, RFID or department. | Fleet Mode | This is vehicle-level fleet management, not only charger management. |
| I need chargers connected where Wi-Fi or Ethernet is not available. | SIM & Data Add-on | Use Wattshare-managed mobile data for supported chargers. |
| I am a dealership, workshop or service centre with high internal usage. | Custom pricing | High-usage internal commercial charging should be priced separately from Fleet Mode. |

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the difference between Public Charging and Private Site Charging?
Public Charging is for chargers that are open to customers, visitors or the public and may process paid charging sessions. Private Site Charging is for approved users such as staff, residents, tenants or invited visitors.
Q: What is the difference between Private Site Charging and Fleet Mode?
Private Site Charging manages chargers and user access at a site. Fleet Mode manages vehicles, drivers, RFID assignments, charging usage by vehicle and fleet cost allocation.
Q: Why is Private Site Charging billed annually?
Private charging sites usually need predictable, low-cost access and basic reporting. Annual billing keeps administration simple and gives site hosts a clear fixed cost per plug.
Q: Does Fleet Mode include electricity?
No. Fleet Mode pricing refers to Wattshare platform fees only. Electricity costs are charged separately based on the site energy tariff or charging location.
Q: When does the 2.5% transaction fee apply?
The transaction fee applies only to paid charging sessions processed through the platform.
Q: Do I need SIM & Data?
Only if your site does not have a reliable internet connection for supported chargers. You can use your own site internet connection where available.
Q: Why is dealership and workshop charging custom priced?
Dealerships and workshops can have very high internal energy usage, but they may not need public payment or full fleet management. Custom pricing allows Wattshare to offer a suitable commercial package.
